FEES; All classes £6 per person.
When someone new starts fees may be paid weekly for first half term. After this, it is expected that all fees will be paid per half term in advance. Fees not refunded if classes are missed, but students are welcome to attend another solo class in that week instead.
Class Uniform We don’t have one. However, we do ask that pupils wear Shorts and T-Shirt. After a month or 6 weeks, pupils are expected to buy proper Irish dance shoes and socks. We have class t-shirts/track suits/shorts/bags, etc. but these are optional and can be bought for birthdays, Christmas, etc.
Competitions – Grade Examinations
Children prepared and entered for competitions and Examinations, if they wish. We are members of the World Irish Dance Association and examinations lead directly to a dance teacher qualification. We are also proud to say that even though we are small in numbers, we have National, European and World Champions in our class.
Displays We do quite a few of these. As children progress and learn more, they are welcome to attend the Saturday Figure/Display Classes at Salford Priors.
Here they learn to work together as a team which builds confidence and friendship between the dancers as they prepare to perform at all sorts of venues and events from competitions to school/local fetes, Her Majestys Theatre in London, the Royal Albert Hall, the NEC, etc. etc. .
These shared experiences are what memories are made of. As you go through our website you will see the kind of venues we have performed at, but everyone starts at local fetes, school concerts, etc.
If your school would like us to perform at their Summer fete, it would be good publicity for us, so let us know as early as possible and we will try to include your event in our programme.
